IWM Duxford

The place is called Imperial War Museum, which sounds unusual in our times. It’s also misleading - there are quite a few civilian aircraft, and very few non-flying war machines. Some exhibits are airworthy, in fact you can fly in a Spitfire if you have £3,000 to spare (if you don’t, at least you can watch). You can also see some planes in the middle of the restoration. Highlights include Concorde, SR-71 Blackbird, V-1, A-10.
